We are delighted to announce that Upad has been acquired by Howsy, and we’re kicking off this new decade with the revival of our well-loved brand.

The news of Upad’s sudden closure at the end of last year came as a shock to everyone. Many were saddened to see such a vibrant business in our sector close its doors.

However, you can’t keep a great agency down, and with such a strong reputation for excellent customer service and an industry leader in the online rental sector, the team at Howsy were keen to ensure that this did not signal the end for Upad.

The process of acquiring Upad’s assets and relaunching the brand began at the end of 2019, and we’re delighted to announce that everything is now back up and running, and normal Upad service has now resumed!

What does this mean for you, Upad’s customers?

Day-to-day, there will be no changes to the Upad you know. All of the technology and features you have come to expect will all still be in place, only to be backed up further by the round-the-clock teams at Howsy.

All of the great features you look for when finding a new tenant are still available, with the option to seamless move onto a Howsy management plan if you are looking for a more end-to-end solution.

As a larger team, there will be potential to continue the original Upad’s vision in driving innovation for landlords and tenants, and make a real change to the private rental sector. Great news for everyone.

Are there any major changes?

No. We believe that Upad moving into the Howsy family will be a smooth transition.

One of the elements that made the original Upad great was its dedication to cracking customer service, and that is something that certainly won’t be changing.

As you click through your account, you may notice that everything is very familiar (in fact, nothing has changed!) and the same can be said for your account managers! 2020 is shaping up to be an exciting year, with lots of positive news to come.

With significant investment in place to deliver ongoing improvements to technology and products across Upad and the rest of the Howsy family, you should be seeing plenty of positive changes over the coming year.
