With the UK rental sector growing bigger every year, families are becoming a large proportion of the rental market. Households with children made up almost 30% of the rental market in 2017. Renting to families often leads to longer tenancies as they are looking for a property to make a home, reducing void periods and ensuring your investment is well looked after. Families will be looking for larger properties with parking and a garden- make sure to highlight any additional benefits like these in your property advert by using bullet points or putting the text in bold.

The local area

Be sure to provide good quality property photos that show all the space available and consider using a floor plan as this will help families to see how their belongings would fit in the space. Local schools will be one of the most important considerations for families so try to provide this information in your description with walking distances or local transport links. Families will also be interested in the local area, include local supermarkets, restaurants and parks in your description to help sell your property to them.
