Upad have gained increasing media coverage recently, with The Guardian, City AM and the Financial Times all featuring James Davis, Upad CEO and founder, as a thought leader in the industry. Other online publications, such as OPP today and Landlord Today, have used James’ comments on breaking industry news or featured Upad research and survey results.

The Guardian: Discussing how online agents may help to lower fees for tenants, it was reinforced that Upad is the largest of all the online lettings agents. They approached James Davis for a comment on how Upad saved landlords and tenants money.

City AM: Following the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement revelation that tenant fees are to be banned, City AM asked for James’ thoughts on how this would impact the PRS. They highlighted that in light of this, many landlords are anticipated to leave traditional high street agents and turn to online agents.

Financial Times: Another piece of coverage on the tenant fee ban, including James’ comments on the ban and our survey results, which revealed more than 50% of landlords planned to increase rents to cover increased costs.
